Andersen will start Friday in New York.

Andersen has struggled since the calendar flipped to 2017, but the Leafs will stick with him tonight in New York
Lundqvist will start Friday vs. the Maple Leafs.
Lundqvist allowed four goals on 37 shots in the Rangers’ win in Columbus last Saturday. Lundqvist has won three of his last four while posting a 3.01 GAA and .896 SV%. Lundqvist has gone 9-4-1 with a 2.73 GAA and .900 SV% on home ice this season and draws a tough matchup vs. a high-scoring Maple Leafs team.
Crawford will start in Washington.
Crawford allowed three goals on 36 shots in the Blackhawks’ win over the Red Wings on Tuesday. Crawford has won three in a row and four of his last five while posting a 2.61 GAA and .916 SV%. Crawford has had a really strong year, but he will be in tough tonight in Washington. Braden Holtby is red-hot and he gave up three goals on 27 shots in a loss in his vs. start vs. Washington.
Holtby will start Friday vs. the Blackhawks.
Holtby stopped 30 of 32 shots in the Capitals’ win over the Penguins on Wednesday. Since his rough outing vs. the Maple Leafs on January 3rd, Holtby has gone 4-0-0 with a 0.75 GAA, .974 SV% and two shutouts. Holtby is the hottest goalie in the NHL right now and is a must-start regardless of his opponent.
Greiss will start Friday in Florida.
Greiss allowed two goals on 24 shots in the Islanders loss to the Panthers on Wednesday. Greiss has started the last four games and posted a strong 1.69 GAA and .944 SV%, but that has translated into just one win. He’ll be looking for a different result tonight as he faces the Panthers again.
Luongo will start Friday vs. the Islanders.
Luongo made 29 stops on 30 shots in the Panthers’ win in Brooklyn on Wednesday. Luongo has now won two in a row while stopping 57 of 58 shots (.983 SV%) and tonight he faces the Islanders, but in the friendly confines of BB&T Center. He is 2-1-0 with a 1.67 GAA and .948 SV% vs. the Isles.
Nilsson will start Friday in Carolina.
Ward will make his 18th straight start on Friday.
Ward allowed three goals on 27 shots in the Hurricanes’ win over the Blue Jackets on Tuesday. Ward has started the last 17 games for the Hurricanes, going 10-5-2 with a 2.41 GAA and .909 SV%. Tonight he will face the Sabres for the second time this season—he has gone 2-0-0 with a 0.96 GAA and .957 SV% in the first two.
Bobrovsky will return to the crease on Friday.
Bobrovsky allowed one goal on 26 shots in the Blue Jackets’ win over the Flyers on Sunday. Bobrovsky was held out of the lineup on Tuesday, but is expected to be back in the crease tonight in Tampa Bay. Bobrovsky has faced the Lightning twice already—he went 2-0-0 with a 2.00 GAA and .927 SV% in the first two meetings.
Vasilevskiy will start Friday vs. the Blue Jackets.
Vasilevskiy allowed six goals on 40 shots in the Lightning’s loss to the Penguins on Sunday. Ben Bishop started last night and his return means less games for Vasilevskiy, but he’ll go tonight because of the back-to-back. Vasilevskiy has lost five of his last six while posting a 4.07 GAA and .878 SV%.
Kinkaid will start for the Devils on Friday.
Johnson will start Friday vs. the Devils.
Johnson allowed two goals on 27 shots in the Flames’ win over the Sharks’ on Wednesday. Johnson will start his fourth consecutive game after winning two of his last three starts while posting a 1.69 GAA and .940 SV%. Tonight he will face the Devils for the first time this season—he has gone 8-5-0 with a 2.59 GAA and .909 SV% on home-ice.
Smith will start Friday vs. the Jets.
Smith allowed three goals on 35 shots in the Coyotes’ loss in Anaheim last Friday. The All Star was given Saturday night off, but will be back in goal tonight vs. the Jets. Smith is on an eight-game losing streak and is just 4-7-2 with a 2.94 GAA and .916 SV% on home-ice this season. Pick where you start him very carefully.
