Kovalchuk is the source of offense for the Devils now with Parise gone. Look for Zajac to pile up the assists on Kovalchuk goals. Zajac isn't ranked very high on any fantasy sites. He could be a nice sleeper.

Travis Zajac looks like he'll be an extra forward again in today's practice. He has on green practice jersey, signifying not on top 4 lines.
Zajac is skating close to everyday which is a great sign. Still no firm date on when he will return.

Travis Zajac out there again today. He said yesterday he won't play tonight.
Zajac continues to skate but won't play tonight. It seems like the former first liner will be an option later on in the month.

Today will be Zajac's first full practice. He participated in Thursday's morning skate.
Zajac is hoping to return during the regular season. The Devils will take his recovery one day at a time.

Lou Lamoriello doesn't want to set a date but says Travis Zajac will "practice soon" and "my opinion is he will play before end of season."
Sounds like Zajac may return during the last week of the season. He's been limited to only eight games this season.
