The Avalanche have signed Gabriel Bourque to a one-year deal.
Bourque, 26, has spent his entire career in Nashville, picking up just 78 points (31G / 47A) in 242 career games. However, he was let go by the Predators this summer and has made the Avalanche out of training camp after being brought in on a professional tryout.
The Predators have recalled Gabriel Bourque from Milwaukee (AHL).
Bourque had no points in two games with Milwaukee during his conditioning stint. He has appeared in four games with Milwaukee in the last month, failing to record a point. He has missed the last 50 games, but could finally get back into the lineup tonight vs. the Kings.
Bourque (upper-body) left Friday' game and did not return; questionable for Saturday.
Bourque left Friday’s game after suffering an upper-body injury. He played just 4:33 before retiring to the dressing room. He is questionable for Saturday’s game as the Predators forward depth continues to be tested by injuries. If he can’t play, look for the Predators to recall a forward.
Nashville, Tenn. (October 1, 2011) – Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced tonight that the club has assigned forwards Gabriel Bourque and Chris Mueller, and defenseman Tyler Sloan to the American Hockey League’s Milwaukee Admirals.
