Predators defenseman Hal Gill will likely end his 12-game absence due to a lower body injury tonight when Nashville plays Columbus.
It’s unclear which defenseman will sit tonight — or if Nashville will go with seven defensemen. Ryan Ellis came off the ice quite late, which could mean he will be scratched. If so, it would be Ellis’ first scratch of the season.

#Preds' Trotz says D Hal Gill, who has missed last 11 games, is "possible" for Thursday against Calgary Will make decision on him tomorrow morning.
Gill hasn't played since February 23rd, but could return tomorrow. He has no points in 15 games this season, so he is not fantasy relevant.

Barry Trotz said the best-case scenario for defenseman Hal Gill (lower body injury) would be for him to meet the team in Columbus for Nashville’s Tuesday game at the Blue Jackets.
Gill has been out since Nashville’s Feb. 23 contest at Detroit.

When the Phoenix series kicks up on Friday, it looks as if Gill will get back into the lineup after missing the first round thanks to blocking a shot at the end of the regular season.

Nashville coach Barry Trotz said defenseman Hal Gill will not play tonight. Gill (foot/ankle) skated this morning and continues to improve. He hasn't played in the series yet.
The news post says it all. Gill hasn't played since blocking a shot before the playoffs.

Chris Campoli and forward Andrei Kostitsyn trained both on the second rink, as Hall Gill, who later joined the rest of the team.
Practicing before the team went on the ice is the first step towards his recovery. Gill has missed the past four games due to various injuries and figures to miss tonight's game.

Early reports had Gill hospitalized due to dehydration. The physical defender returned from the hospital to meet with the team but remains out indefinitely.
