Predators defenseman Hal Gill will likely end his 12-game absence due to a lower body injury tonight when Nashville plays Columbus.
It’s unclear which defenseman will sit tonight — or if Nashville will go with seven defensemen. Ryan Ellis came off the ice quite late, which could mean he will be scratched. If so, it would be Ellis’ first scratch of the season.
Barry Trotz said the best-case scenario for defenseman Hal Gill (lower body injury) would be for him to meet the team in Columbus for Nashville’s Tuesday game at the Blue Jackets.
Gill has been out since Nashville’s Feb. 23 contest at Detroit.
When the Phoenix series kicks up on Friday, it looks as if Gill will get back into the lineup after missing the first round thanks to blocking a shot at the end of the regular season.
