Dale Hunter says that Matt Hendricks is not ready to go just yet, still day to day, but will join the #Caps on their road trip.
Hendricks will not play tonight which means the Caps lines most likely remain the same.

Matt Hendricks skated, told us afterward that there's no time table for his return yet. He was sporting a wrap on his right knee. #caps
While Hendricks skating is a good sign, his timetable should be a red flag. If you own him to stream PIM, there are likely better options.

Hendricks has not skated since Monday. He played 4:22 in a loss to the Panthers that night but not at all in the third period. The team is calling him day-to-day with a lower-body injury, but it was revealed that the forward's issue was with his knee.
Hendricks did not skate this morning which is an indication that he won't play tonight.

Hendricks is day-to-day with a lower-body injury, Hunter said. The forward who has zero goals this season and did not play in the third period Monday, declined to speak with reporters.

Hendricks did not play at all in the third period of the Caps' 5-4 loss at BankAtlantic Center and then was not on the ice for Tuesday's practice. A team spokesman said he's day-to-day but did not disclose what type of injury Hendricks is dealing with.

Hendricks may not play after his wife gave birth to twins. If he can't play look for Mathieu Perreault to draw into the lineup.
