The Oilers have activated Matt Hendricks (lower-body) from IR; he’s expected to make his season debut on Saturday.
Hendricks has missed the first 18 games of the season because of a preseason lower-body injury, but he’ll get into the lineup tonight in Dallas. He is merely a fourth liner, who carries limited to no fantasy value.
Hendricks will miss a few weeks with a lower-body injury.
Hendricks, 35, suffered a lower-body injury in the Oilers’ preseason game on Tuesday and will miss “weeks” according to head coach Todd McLellan. His injury might give a younger player like Anton Slepyshev and Tyler Pitlick a chance to make the club to start the regular season.
Hendricks (undisclosed) will get back into the Oilers lineup on Monday.
Hendricks missed Saturday’s game with an undisclosed injury that he suffered on Thursday, but he will get back into the lineup tonight vs. the Predators. Hendricks has just nine points (3G / 6A) in 57 games this season.
Hendricks has been suspended for three games for his hit on Aaron Ekblad.

Ekblad missed Monday’s game because he was in the league’s concussion protocol. With Hendricks out on Tuesday, the Oilers will go with seven-defensemen as Brad Hunt gets back into the lineup.
