Enstrom will miss 2-3 weeks with a lower-body injury.
Enstrom will miss his second straight game on Thursday and is likely to miss at least four more games according to his timetable. Luckily for the Jets, they have their bye week next week, so he won’t miss any games over that six-day stretch.
Enstrom was forced from Saturday’s game vs. the Lightning and did not return after playing just 1:22 TOI. With Enstrom unavailable, Ben Chiarot moved up in Monday’s practice and Mark Stuart is expected to draw back into the lineup after being a healthy scratch on Saturday.
Enstrom left Tuesday’s game with an upper-body injury and did not return.
Enstrom played just 7:01 before retiring to the dressing room have crashing into the boards. Head coach Paul Maurice did not have an update on Enstrom after the game, so consider him doubtful for Thursday’s game vs. the Blackhawks.
Enstrom (personal) returned to practice on Wednesday.
Enstrom has missed the last three games because he returned to Sweden to deal with a personal matter. With Enstrom back, expect him to be back in the lineup on Thursday. Expect either Mark Stuart or Paul Postma to come out of the lineup.
Enstrom will undergo knee surgery and is out indefinitely.
Enstrom has been reportedly dealing with the injury for months and will finally undergo surgery with the Jets well out of the playoff picture. With Enstrom out, the Jets have recalled Julian Melchiori from Manitoba to take his spot in the lineup tonight. Enstrom’s season is likely over and he will finish with 16 points (2G / 14A) in 72 games.
Enstrom (lower-body) is practicing again on Wednesday.
Enstrom, who resumed skating late last week, was in practice again this morning with a no-contact jersey. Enstrom will need to be cleared for contact before his return is imminent, but it is a good sign that he continues to skate.

Enstrom has already missed the last four games with a lower-body injury he suffered on November 23rd vs. St. Louis. Now he is expected to miss the next four weeks and Zach Bogosian suffered a lower-body injury and will join him for the next 4-6 weeks.

Enstrom practiced today and said after he felt good but would wait & see what the medical staff said about his lower body injury. Appearantley they didn’t like what they saw as they placed Enstrom on the injured reserve list and recalled Ben Chiarot from the St. John’s IceCaps. The move to the IR for Enstrom is retroactive to November 23rd, so he is eligible to return whenever he is healthy.
