Enstrom (lower-body) will miss the remainder of December.
Enstrom has already missed the last four games with a lower-body injury he suffered on November 23rd vs. St. Louis. Now he is expected to miss the next four weeks and Zach Bogosian suffered a lower-body injury and will join him for the next 4-6 weeks.
The Jets have placed Tobias Enstrom (lower-body) on injured reserve.
Enstrom practiced today and said after he felt good but would wait & see what the medical staff said about his lower body injury. Appearantley they didn’t like what they saw as they placed Enstrom on the injured reserve list and recalled Ben Chiarot from the St. John’s IceCaps. The move to the IR for Enstrom is retroactive to November 23rd, so he is eligible to return whenever he is healthy.
Enstrom (lower-body) missed practice Monday but is expected to skate on Tuesday.
Enstrom has missed the last three games with a lower-body injury, but is expected to skate on Tuesday and if all goes well he will play on Wednesday. Monitor his status over the next few days. Enstrom has one goal and eight assists in 22 games.
#NHLJets Paul Postma confirms he will play tonight in place of Toby Enstrom. Says Enstrom is fine, but he is still a little sore.
Enstrom won't play tonight after getting nicked up in his last game when he took a big hit in the defensive zone. He left the game and did not return. He didn't participate in practice this morning so he is clearly still banged up. He isn't expected to miss an extended period of time, he will probably be back on Tuesday vs. Tampa Bay.
Enstrom left yesterday's game after taking a hard hit in the first period and did not return.
Jets coach Claude Noel said afterward Enstrom is day-to-day after "it just seized up. It's just something that happens when you put stress on muscles." It doesn't sound like Enstrom's injury is too serious.
#NHLJets Noel says Toby Enstrom "looks like he is turning the corner..." Might play tomorrow night.
Enstrom has not played since February 15th. He had 13 points in 13 games before getting hurt. He is an exceptional passer but he will not score a lot of goals. He rarely shoots the puck, he had just 9 shots in those 13 games.
Toby Enstrom was wearing regular colours at Tuesday's game-day practice, having dumped the orange 'no-contact' jersey.
The Jets haven't set a time frame for Enstrom's return, but will have to first see if he can handle contact on the injured shoulder that has kept him out of the lineup for 17 games. "We'll see in the next couple of days coming up here. The last couple of days I've been feeling great and skating with the team. It's been a tough couple of weeks here and I'll be happy to be back playing soon." Enstrom said.
