Versteeg not skating this morning indicates he probably won't play this week. The top line right wing has 22 goals and 49 points in 59 games.

#FlaPanthers Head Coach Dineen: Dmitry Kulikov had knee surgery yesterday. Expected to be out 6-8 weeks.
Kulikov definitely won't play tonight and misses most of the regular season. The Russian defenseman has four goals and 24 points through 46 games. He will be missed as one of the team's top puck-movers.

Kulikov did not practice today and is expected to be out until the break. In his third professional season, he has four goals and 24 points through 46 games. Expect the team to call up a d-man.

The trainers assured Kulikov and Dineen that they would be able to keep the wound clean to guard against infection.
“He’s a tough kid,” Dineen said. “He’s shown us numerous times that his will to play is large.”
Despite the nasty gash, the young defender was able to draw into the lineup. Last night he landed a hit, took a shot on goal and finished with a minus-1 rating in the team's 2-1 loss to the Kings. Expect him to stay in the lineup moving forward.

Despite the injury, Kulikov will travel with the team on their two-game, West Coast swing. The former 14th overall pick has a goal and 15 points in 23 games but was held scoreless tonight. He is expected to play within the next two games.
