Kulikov (lower-body) will make his Sabres debut on Sunday.
Kulikov missed the Sabres’ season opener, but will be in the lineup when they take on the Oilers tonight. Kulikov will take Casey Nelson’s spot in the lineup and is expected to play on the third pairing with Cody Franson. The 25-year-old had one goal and 16 assists (17 points) in 74 games a season ago.

Kulikov missed the Sabres’ season opener on Thursday but was on the ice for practice on Friday and is encouraged that he will be able to play on Sunday. Kulikov was skating on the third pair with Cody Franson.

Kulikov had been practicing with the team leading up to tonight’s season opener, but his bruised tailbone has not healed enough for him to be in the lineup vs. Montreal. Casey Nelson will replace the offseason acquisition to start the year.

Kulikov left Saturday’s game in Tampa Bay with a lower-body injury and it will force him to miss Monday’s rematch. Kulikov is expected to miss a few days and could miss up to a week, so look for Steve Kampfer to replace him.
Kulikov is set to return from his suspension on Sunday.
Kulikov served his four-game suspension and will play tonight in Pittsburgh. The Panthers went 2-1-1 without Kulikov, but should benefit from having him back on the blue line tonight. He has 16 points (2G / 14A) in 49 games.
Kulikov has been suspended for four games for his hit on Tyler Seguin.
Kulikov was suspended for his low hit on Seguin on Friday. Seguin suffered a knee injury on the play and will miss 3-6 weeks. Kulikov already served one game of his suspension, so he will be eligible to return on Sunday in Pittsburgh.
Kulikov missed four game with a knee injury, but will be back in the lineup tonight in San Jose. He has averaged 22:36 TOI this season and recorded four assists in 12 games. Expect him to skate with Willie Mitchell and play on the Panthers’ second power-play unit.
