Higgins (foot) will make his season debut on Wednesday.
Higgins missed the start of the season after suffering a fractured foot in the preseason. Higgins will skate on the Canucks’ second or third line. He is coming off of a season where he had 12 goals and 24 assists (36 points) in 77 games.
Higgins left Monday’s preseason game with a foot injury and did not return.
Higgins was spotted wearing a walking boot on his right foot at Tuesday’s morning skate, which is never a good sign. Higgins sustained the injury while blocking a Brenden Dillion slapshot. The Canucks have not released any information about the severity of Higgins’ injury, but wearing a walking boot isn’t a good sign for him being available to start the season.
Higgins (lower-body) is expected to play on Saturday.
Higgins has missed the last three games with a lower-body injury, but it looks like he will be back in tomorrow vs. the Maple Leafs. Higgins had a three-game point streak (1G / 2A) going before he was hurt.
Higgins missed Saturday’s game with a lower-body injury and it was announced this afternoon that he will be out for an extended period of time. Brandon McMillan and Ronalds Kennins will likely alternate playing time with Higgins out.
Higgins was held out of Thursday’s game and was not on the ice for the Canucks’ practice on Friday because of the flu. If Higgins is not good-to-go on Saturday, expect Linden Vey to remain in the lineup.

Higgins missed Tuesday's game in Boston with an undisclosed injury, but will return tonight in Montreal. Higgins has been on of the Canucks most consistent offensive producers this season. He has totalled 31 points (15G / 16A) in 56 games.
