Whitney was pronounced in yesterday but is unlikely to play now. Sidelined since the end of December with a nagging ankle injury it remains to be seen if he will get fully healthy this year.

Whitney will play in only his fifth game of the season and is expected to jump right into top pairing minutes. He should be very valuable to this revived Oilers offense, picking up on his 27 points in 35 games of last year.
