Nik Khabibulin will start in goal tonight for the Edmonton Oilers. Devan Dubnyk had started the previous three games this year vs. Minny.
Khabibulin has lost each of his last four starts over the last month. In those four starts he has posted a 4.09 GAA and .870 SV%... Yeah I would stay away from this guy tonight.

Khabibulin has allowed four goals in each of his last three starts dating back to March 28th. The Oilers have been eliminated from the playoffs as of yesterday so it would be tough to warrant him as a spot start. Regardless, the Ducks are a tough team to beat, look elsewhere.

Khabby to start vs. #Flames
Khabibulin last played in the Oilers' 4-0 loss to Vancouver on April 4. The Flames obviously pose a better matchup for Khabby to bounce back and get a win.

Nik Khabibulin is first goalie off just to verify that he is starting tonight for Edm vs. CBJ.
Khabibulin played very well in his last start. He stopped all 43 shots he faced in a 3-0 shutout win over the Blues. He has a decent matchup vs. the Blue Jackets. However he better be ready to post another shutout if Bobrovsky starts for CBJ.

Khabibulin allowed three goals on 25 assists in a 3-0 loss to St. Louis. He will be back in the net tonight vs. the Blues again. He will look for a better outcome this time around, but the Blues have won four out of their last six so it won't be easy.

Khabibulin apparently will start in net tonight for first time since Feb. 25.
Khabibulin is 2-2-1 with a 2.12 GAA and .935 SV% this season. He has a tough matchup vs. the Blues tonight. I would look elsewhere.

Khabibulin's injury is undisclosed at this point. This is a tough break for Khabibulin who has played well so far this season (2.12 GAA and .935 SV%). Yann Denis has been recalled to backup Devan Dubnyk, who will likely see almost all the starts going forward.

This team was supposed to be Devan Dubnyk's this season but the veteran Khabibulin is making a strong case for himself to be the Oilers #1 goalie. This will be his third start in Edmonton's last four games. Khabibulin has two wins in his last 3 outings with a 1.82 GAA and .944 SV%. He has a terribly tough matchup tonight vs. the Blackhawks tonight.
