I think Foster is the questionable defenseman.
Foster is questionable to play this evening. In 28 games with the Devils, he scored three goals and 12 points. Expect Peter Harrold to draw in if he can't play.

Foster draws back into the lineup to face his former team. In his only game with the Ducks, he posted a goal and even received some PP time.

Randy Carlyle was typically coy about his defensive lineup but he said Kurtis Foster is available. His next game will be his season debut.
Foster is mostly used as an offensive specialist but on a team with Fowler and Visnovsky, don't expect much more than a few PP minutes.

Ducks D Kurtis Foster said he thinks he'll be ready for Friday after a good week of practice and is cool with waiting his turn to get in.
After a successful conditioning stint with Syracuse of the AHL, Foster still needs to learn his team's new system. Look for him to rotate with Sheldon Brookbank on the third defensive pairing.

Ducks say D Kurtis Foster will do conditioning assignment w/ Syracuse, expected to play Friday and Saturday.
Foster should return to the NHL level early next week and probably draws into the lineup on Monday when the Ducks face the San Jose Sharks.

Foster should be ready, or 'very close', when the puck is dropped on Friday night. Look for him to replace Nate Guenin on the bottom pairing and possibly see some PP time.

Defenseman Kurtis Foster (leg) and forward Matt Beleskey (shoulder) are “very, very close” to returning, according to Carlyle. He said both players could be available for the Ducks’ regular season opener here Friday against Buffalo.
