Joey MacDonald will start the final game of the season for the #Flames tonight.
No farewell for Miikkaa Kiprusoff tonight as MacDonald will start for the Flames. I don't think his numbers are really necessary. The Flames are bad, the Blackhawks are really good. It could not be more black-and-white, don't start MacDonald. If you think they can pull out a miraculous win that can win you the championship by starting MacDonald, then more power to you!

MacDonald allowed just one goal on 35 shots in a win over the Wild on Sunday. He has won four out of his last five starts, but he has a tough matchup vs. the Blues tonight. Not someone you can trust at this point in the season.

MacDonald has been a serviceable backup to Kiprusoff and is being rewarded as such. MacDonald is, however, an unreliable fantasy goaltender.

MacDonald has started 3 of 4 for the Flames, winning all three. His SV% is 31 pts better than Kipper's but is still probably not worth starting tonight.

That's two straight starts for JoeyMac with Kipper sitting on the bench - likely frustrating fantasy owners everywhere. MacDonald hopes to build off of his 3-2 OT win yesterday vs. Phoenix.

#Flames will start Joey MacDonald in goal Friday against the Coyotes, according to coach Hartley.
MacDonald played very well allowing just one goal on 40 shots in a win on Monday. He has a decent matchup tomorrow vs. the Coyotes, but playing a Flames goalie at this time of the year is risky.

MacDonald allowed eight goals on 39 shots against Edmonton in his last start. His last win was on March 27th against Colorado, who he faces tonight. He is 1-1-0 with a 4.05 GAA and .879 SV% vs. the Avalanche this year.

MacDonald allowed one goal on 14 shots in a relief effort of Miikka Kiprusoff on Monday. He will start tonight against an Oilers team who have won four straight.

MacDonald has not started since March 18th, he allowed four goals on 24 shots in a 4-3 loss to Dallas. He could be a decent spot start tonight against an Avalanche team who have lost six of their last seven games.

MacDonald will start and will be backed-up by Danny Taylor because Kiprusoff is back in Calgary with his wife as they welcome a new baby boy. MacDonald lost his last start allowing two goals on 21 shots on March 11th. He has a decent matchup tonight vs. the Stars.

MacDonald has posted a .900 SV% so far this year for the Flames. It might be worth keeping him on the bench against the Kings.

MacDonald will get his fifth start tonight vs. Colorado.
MacDonald has played well as a member of the Calgary Flames. He has won two of his last three with a 2.33 GAA and .920 SV%, the most important thing is he is giving the Flames a chance to win. He has a solid matchup tonight vs. Colorado however I'm sure he wishes Matt Duchene was not returning to the Avalanche lineup tonight.

MacDonald will try and extend his winning streak to three games tonight when the Flames take on Minnesota. MacDonald has been good in his time in Calgary and could be worth a spot start with a good matchup. However it is hard to recommend him against the WIld.
