Defenseman Stephane Robidas and Sheldon Souray did not practice today. Both are dealing with foot issues, but are expected to play Friday.
Robidas continues to battle bumps and bruises, missing a few games over the course of the season. He scored two goals and 12 points in 39 games. If he can't play, look for Adam Pardy or Philip Larsen to draw in.
FRISCO, Texas -- Stars defenseman Stephane Robidas went through his toughest skating session yet as part of an optional practice at Dr Pepper StarCenter on Wednesday morning. Afterward, he looked and sounded like a guy ready to get into the lineup in Nashville on Thursday, though no decision has been made.
Robidas should be nearing his return. The Sherbrooke, Quebec native has two goals and 11 points over 32 games.
Stephane Robidas will see his first preseason game tonight. The Stars have been careful with him so far in camp and the preseason since he is coming off offseason hip surgery.
Sounds like he is fully healthy. Robidas scored five goals and 30 points in 81 games last season for the Stars. With the departure of Brad Richards, the former 7th round pick will probably find his way back onto the top power play unit.
#stars Stéphane Robidas (hip) will be back this week-end or early next week.
