Umberger (upper-body) will be back in the Flyers lineup on Wednesday.
Umberger missed the last three games with an upper-body injury, but he will return to the lineup tonight in Boston. Umberger will replaced Sam Gagner in the lineup. The veteran forward has two assists and three shots in two games this season.

Umberger is not on the ice for the Flyers’ morning skate after not participating in Sunday’s practice session. Umberger’s absence over the last two days suggests the veteran forward is dealing with an injury that could keep him out of Monday’s game. Expect an update after the skate, but if Umberger is out, expect Sam Gagner to make his Flyers’ debut.
Umberger will have right hip and abdominal surgery—out for the season.
It was believed that Umberger was a healthy scratch for the last two games, but it turns out he needs surgery and is done for the next 10 weeks. He finishes the year with 15 points (9G / 6A) in 67 games.
The Blue Jackets have traded R.J Umberger and a fourth-round pick to the Flyers for Scott Hartnell.
Umberger, 32, scored 18 goals with 16 assists (32 points) in 74 games with the Blue Jackets this season. The Pennsylvania native is heading home to play for a Flyers team that he played three season with from 2005-08. Umberger's fantasy value would spike if he replaces Hartnell on the Flyers top-line with Claude Giroux.
Umberger played through a broken finger, separated shoulder and herniated disc in the first round vs. the Penguins.
Umberger missed two games in the first round, including game 6 in which the Blue Jackets were eliminated. Columbus showed some promise this season and Umberger will continue to be a part of their growth as he is signed through the 2016-17 season.

Umberger has recently been serving as a healthy scratch, so this is not that big of a loss to the Blue Jackets playoff push. WIth Umberger out expect Matt Frattin and Corey Tropp to battle it out for playing time.
