Hjalmarsson (upper-body) has been activated from IR; expected to play on Thursday.
Hjalmarsson has missed the last four games with an upper-body injury, but will play Thursday vs. the Ducks. Hjalmarsson skated with newcomer Johnny Oduya in practice and is expected to be his partner in Oduya’s Blackhawks re-debut. Hjalmarsson has five goals and nine assists (14 points) in 60 games this season.
Hjalmarsson has served his three game suspension and will be in the lineup on Friday.

Hjalmarsson was reportedly battling an undisclosed injury and was questionable to play tonight vs. Montreal. However, he took part in the morning skate and is good to go which means that Klas Dahlbeck’s NHL debut will have to wait.
Hjalmarsson did not skate this morning but coach Joel Quenneville reiterated that the defenseman is fine and playing in game 4.
Hjalmarsson has been off the ice for the past two days but Quenneville said he’s just resting. The defenseman has taken his shot-blocking lumps in the postseason, the most frightening when he caught a puck in the throat in Game 2 on Sunday. Hjalmarsson has been advised not to speak for some time but he has played through it.
