The Islanders have recalled Josh Ho-Sang from Bridgeport (AHL) on emergency conditions.
Ho-Sang, 21, has registered 10 goals and 26 assists (36 points) in 48 games with Bridgeport (AHL) in his first professional season. Ho-Sang has yet to appear in an NHL game, but one could be on the horizon given this call-up.
Josh Ho-Sang was sent back to the OHL after showing up late to training camp.
Ho-Sang’s training camp ended before it even started. He reportedly slept in and showed up late for the first day of Islanders’ training camp on Thursday. Ho-Sang was the 28th overall pick in the 2014 NHL draft. He was considered a top-10 talent, but slipped due to reported discipline issues. He will head back for another year in Niagra, where he registered 14 goals and 48 assists (62 points) in 49 games last season.
