To make room for Peters on the roster, goaltender Mike Murphy was reassigned to Charlotte.
Murphy has no fantasy hockey value while in the minors.

Murphy will stay with Canes as backup although could flip with Peters, Rutherford said.
Murphy likely gets into a game or two over the next few weeks.

Organization will call up Mike Murphy from the AHL to join team tomorrow.
Murphy is not expected to start any games and therefore has no fantasy hockey value.

The Canes have made it official. In addition to the 7 on waivers noted earlier, forwards Drayson Bowman, Zach Boychuk, Chris Terry, plus Justin Krueger and Michael Murphy are headed to Charlotte.
