The Jets have placed Marko Dano (lower-body) on IR.
Jets’ head coach Paul Maurice indicated on Thursday that Dano would likely miss a few weeks with a lower-body injury that he suffered last night. With his move to IR, the Jets used that roster spot to call-up Andrew Copp, who was just sent down.

Dano left Thursday’s game with a lower-body injury and did not return. Head coach Paul Maurice said post-game that Dano will undergo tests on Friday but isn’t optimistic. Dano will likely miss some time and if that’s the case expect them to recall a forward before Saturday’s game.

Dano’s face was pretty carved up in Tuesday’s game and forced him to leave and not return. Dano tweeted a picture of his face post-game and seemed to be in good spirits, which bodes well for his availability for Thursday’s game.

The Jets placed Bryan Little on IR to make room for Dano, who has picked up two assists in six games with Manitoba this season. Dano spent some time with the Jets last year, picking up eight points (4G / 4A) in 21 games.
Dano (undisclosed) is expected to draw back into the Jets lineup on Tuesday.
Dano missed Sunday's game with an undisclosed injury, but skated on the second line in the Jets pre-game skate and is expected to return to the lineup vs. the Canucks tonight. Dano has three goals and two assists in his last six games.

Dano, 21, was the 27th overall pick in 2013 and was acquired by the Blackhawks in the summer as a part of the Brandon Saad deal. He only appeared in 13 games with the Blackhawks, collecting one goal and one assist. He spent the majority of the season with Rockford (AHL), where he had 23 points (4G / 19A) in 34 games, but he is expected to report to the Jets.
