Knapp stopped six of seven shots after replacing Matt Hackett in yesterday's loss to the Bruins. Today he will make his first NHL starts against the Islanders. Knapp starts the season in the ECHL, but has made the quick leap to the NHL with the ridiculous amount of goalie injuries in Buffalo this season.
The Sabres have recalled Connor Knapp from Rochester (AHL).
Knapp, 23, who started the season in the ECHL was a combined 11-12-5 with theta Greenville Road Warriors, Florida Everblades and Alaska Aces. Since being promoted to the AHL, Knapp has gone 0-2-0 with a 4.03 GAA and .873 SV%.
Buffalo Sabres General Manager Darcy Regier today announced that the team has agreed to terms with forward Dan Catenacci on a three-year entry level contract and goaltender Connor Knapp on a two-year entry-level contract.
Knapp completed his senior year with the Miami University (Ohio), winning 15 of his 24 starts with a tidy 1.69 GAA and .933 SV%.
