#Flames RW David Moss (foot) skated today for the first time.
Moss takes the first step by getting back on the ice. The former 7th round pick scored a goal and five points through 15 games playing between the first and fourth lines.
Our Rob Kerr reporting David Moss underwent successful surgery on his hairline ankle fracture yesterday. Out indefinitely. #Flames
We likely won't see Moss until at least February, if not later. The former 7th round pick scored a goal and five points through 15 games playing between the first and fourth lines. Look for the Flames to continue looking at youngsters like Paul Byron and Greg Nemisz in the meantime.
David Moss out with #Flames main group this morning..nice to see...maybe less than 2 weeks away.
The Flames will take it slow with Moss's recovery but stepping on the ice is the first step. He scored a goal and five points in 15 games prior to getting hurt.
C-NOTE: David Moss missed the third period with a lower-body injury.
Moss may have reinjured his sore foot, which kept him out of the lineup last week. The 29-year-old scored a goal and five points playing in multiple roles for the Flames.
Moss said he's feeling good and hopes to get back in after missing Calgary's win Sunday in Denver. David blocked a shot against the Sabres which is why he had to sit out a game; he's officially a gametime decision.
Stay tuned for a further update on his status. Moss has a goal and four points through his first 12 games playing mostly on the top two lines.
