The NHL has suspended Jordan Nolan for two games for his hit on Detroit forward Darren Helm on Friday.
Nolan crunched Helm from behind in the defensive zone in the third period of Friday's loss to the Red Wings. Nolan was promptly tossed by Jonathan Ericsson and a large scrum broke out. Nolan was assessed a two-minute boarding minor on the play, but will now miss tonight's game as well as Tuesday vs. Dallas. He is eligibles to return on Thursday vs. the Islanders.
Clifford stayed on the ice a with the extras in the Kings' morning skate suggesting that he will come out and Nolan will slide Tonight, will be Nolan's first game since game 3 of the first round. Nolan has no points and a minus-1 rating while averaging 8:16 TOI in two postseason games.
Nolan has served his one game suspension and is eligible to return on Thursday vs. Toronto.
Nolan was suspended one-game for sucker-punching Jesse Joensuu of the Oilers on Sunday. Nolan served his suspension during Monday's win over the Flames. Nolan has nine points (5G /4A) with 52 penalty minutes and 48 shots on goal in 54 games this season.
