The Blackhawks have acquired Tim Jackman and a 2017 seventh round pick from the Ducks for Corey Tropp.
Jackman has two points and 33 PIMS in 22 games with San Diego (AHL) this season. He has only appeared in two games with Anaheim this season, but has 75 points (32G / 43A) and 806 PIMS in 483 career NHL games.
Jackman will not play because of the upper-body injury that he suffered when he was knocked out by John Scott on Monday. Scott was suspended four four games because of the incident. Dany Heatley will be in the lineup with Jackman out.
The Flames have traded Tim Jackman to the Ducks for a 2014 6th round pick.
Jackman is 6-foot-4, 220 lbs. fourth line forward. He had one goal and 41 penalty minutes while averaging 6:23 TOI in 10 games with the Flames. The 32-year-old tough-guy has skated in 400 career NHL games and has spent the last four season with Calgary. He is not fantasy relevant but brings some toughness to the Ducks.
