Avs recalled Tyson Barrie from Lake Erie of the American Hockey League.
Ryan Wilson is out indefinitely, after he re-injured an ankle against Vancouver. Barrie was recalled to take Wilson's roster spot.

Tyson Barrie will be scratched tonight with the return of Erik Johnson.
The rookie has played well this season so it is surprising to see him get scratched. Barrie has one goal and five assists in 15 games this season. He was also averaging 21:06 minutes a night.

UPDATE: Tyson Barrie will be in tomorrow night's lineup against the Blackhawks.
Look for Barrie to make his NHL debut shortly. He should play in all situations.

Like Elliott, Barrie is a top prospect in the Avs system. Expect him to get some playing time on the power play.

The Colorado Avalanche Hockey Club announced today that the team has reassigned four players, reducing its 2011 preseason roster to 27. No immediate fantasy hockey value in the AHL.
