Chiarot (illness) will return to the Jets lineup on Friday.
Chiarot has missed the last 12 games with an illness, but will return to the lineup tonight vs.the Blackhawks. Chiarot will replace Mark Stuart in the lineup and comes into play with just six assists in 43 games this season.
The Jets have inked Ben Chiarot to a two-year extension worth $1.7M.
Chiarot, 24, missed a chunk of time after having hand surgery this past season, but he finished his rookie season with eight points (2G / 6A) in 40 games with Winnipeg. In 24 games at the AHL level, he tallied four goals and five assists.
Chiarot is expected to be back in the lineup for Game 4.
Chiarot played in Game 1, but was a healthy scratch in games 2 and 3. Chiarot played 16:21 in Game 1 while paired with Dustin Byfuglien, tonight he is expected to be paired with Jacob Trouba. Chiarot had eight points (2G / 6A) in 40 games this season.

Chiarot will be out until early-April after undergoing hand surgery. With Chiarot out, Jay Harrison will draw into the lineup if Dustin Byfuglien doesn’t go back to defense. The final lineup decision will come in Tuesday’s morning skate.
The Jets have recalled Ben Chiarot from St. John’s (AHL).
Chiarot, 23, has nine points (4G / 5A) in 24 games with St. John’s this season. He has just one game of NHL experience, but could make his season debut tomorrow with Tobias Enstrom on IR with a lower-body injury.
