Bouwmeester (groin) is officially back in the Blues lineup.
Bouwmeester has missed the last eight games with a groin injury, but will return tonight vs.the Islanders. He will return to his usual spot on a pairing with Alex Pietrangelo and will likely return to the second power-play unit as well. Bouwmeester has just two points (1G / 1A) in 20 games this season.
Bouwmeester (groin) in-line to return on Thursday.
Bouwmeester was in practice on Wednesday and said that today was the best he has felt. That is a positive sign that Bouwmeester will be back in the lineup tomorrow vs. the Isles. He has missed the last eight games with a groin injury.
Bouwmeester will miss his fifth consecutive game with a groin injury when the Blues take on the Blackhawks tonight. The Blues had three days off in between games and Bouwmeester had been practicing, so it looked like he would be back in the lineup tonight, but he will sit at least one more game. The Blues play again tomorrow so monitor Bouwmeester’s status.
Bouwmeester (lower-body) will not play on Tuesday.
Bouwmeester will miss his second straight game tonight, however head coach Ken Hitchcock said the injury is not serious and if “it were a playoff game, he’d play.” After tonight the Blues are off until Friday, expect Bouwmeester to be back vs. the Oilers. Barrett Jackman will skate with Alex Pietrangelo.
Bouwmeester (lower-body) not expected to play on Tuesday.
Bouwmeester, who missed Sunday’s game, is not on the ice for the Blues’ morning skate, so it looks like he will miss a second straight game tonight vs. Ottawa. Bouwmeester is not used to missing games, but it seems like he will miss his second game in the last 739 games. Carl Gunnarsson is expected to skate with Alex Pietrangelo.
Bouwmeester will see his consecutive games played streak snapped at 737 games. He was injured in the Blues win over the Senators on Saturday afternoon. Look for Chris Butler to enter the lineup on Sunday vs. the Jets.
Bouwmeester (undisclosed) will be in the Blues' lineup tonight.
Bouwmeester was "fixing leaks" this morning and will play tonight. Alright, no idea what that means, but Bouwmeester will play on the Blues second pair with Kevin Shattenkirk. He had 37 points (4G / 33A) and a plus-26 rating in 82 games last season. He has played in 717 consecutive games (longest active streak) so it is not really surprising that he will suit up tonight.
Bouwmeester (undisclosed) is not on the ice for the Blues morning skate.
There is no word as to why Bouwmeester is absent from the morning skate, but for now Barrett Jackman is skating in his spot with Kevin Shattenkirk. We will get an update on Bouwmeester's status following the morning skate.
The Blues have signed Jay Bouwmeester to a 5-year, $27 million extension. He still has one year at $6.68M remaining on his current deal.
Bouwmeester had 21 pts in 45 games last season, well above his recent point per game average. However, he did spend much of his time in St. Louis on the 2nd PP unit which hurts his value. He is probably best viewed as a 4th defenceman at best come draft time.
Bouwmeester to the Blues for STL's 1st round pick, d-man Mark Cundari and goalie Reto Berra.
Bouwmeester is signed through next season with a $6.6 million cap-hit each season. He has six goals and nine assists in 33 games this season. He has been a solid fantasy commodity throughout the years and should hold more value on a strong Blues defense corp than he did in Calgary. With the addition of Jordan Leopold recently expect Bouwmeester to play with either Alex Pietrangelo or Kevin Shattenkirk.
