Jochen Hecht announced his retirement from the NHL after Friday night's game
Hecht had 463 points in 833 games with the Sabres, Oilers, and Blues.

Jochen Hecht is coming back to Buffalo.
Hecht was let go following a premature ending to last season due to a concussion. After convincing management that he has overcome those issues through play in Germany, Hecht will be back to provide much needed depth for the Sabres.

TAMPA, Fla. – Jochen Hecht is trying to recover from his third concussion in the past year. He’s approaching 35 years old.
Hecht remains out indefinitely and probably won't play again during the regular season.
