Contrary to coach Dale Hunter's denials, yesterday's report of a right arm laceration appears to be accurate. While Semin has been able to skate, we don't know the exact timetable for his injury.

It’s unclear precisely why Semin did not take part in practice Monday, and it’s also unclear whether he will be able to play on Tuesday when the Capitals host the Calgary Flames at Verizon Center.
Semin has been on fire with five points over his last three games. He finished December with five goals and 10 points over 12 games which is certainly rounding into form.
