The Coyotes also announced that center Boyd Gordon has been activated off Injured Reserve. Gordon missed seven games with a lower-body injury.
The Coyotes are currently on a three-game road trip so expect Gordon to play two of the tilts. He scored three goals and 12 points in 35 games before getting hurt.

Coyotes center Boyd Gordon has notched four points in the past four games and ranks 14th in the NHL in faceoff efficiency at 55.6 percent.
Gordon is owned in only 1 percent of Yahoo! leagues but could have fantasy hockey value in deeper leagues.

"He's in the guts of the game," said coach Dave Tippett, adding that Gordon approaches the game methodically and with a business-like attitude. "He's one of those guys that helps you win games.
Gordon will be heavily relied on to help the team at center. With Vernon Fiddler and Eric Belander both leaving via free agency, the former Capital will help with the defensive end of things.
