Fleischmann moves back up to the Weiss line. In his first season with the Cats, the crafty winger has 16 goals and 35 points through 48 games. Expect him to pick back up the pace while on the top line.
Fleischmann will start tonight's game as the Panthers look to ice a balanced attack. The sniper has 13 goals and 32 points through his first 37 games with the Panthers.
Dineen: “He had a pretty good day today, so we’re feeling positive that he got a quality chance to be in this weekend. I haven’t made that final decision yet, but I’m encouraged by how he feels and how he looks today, and the medical feedback. So that’s a positive. We’re feeling good that he’s got a good chance of playing.”
Fleischmann remains questionable for this weekend's games after taking a high hit against the Rangers. The top-line winger went under observation and by all accounts sounds optimistic. Expect an update prior to game time.
Tomas Fleischmann has still not been cleared medically from his pulmonary embolism issue. It appears he will at some point soon, but time is ticking a bit for the Avs because, let’s not forget, Flash can be an unrestricted free agent July 1. They’re going to want to know for sure his health situation going forward before making him a possibly big offer to stay.
