Lightning's Purcell (illness) on ice for morning skate.
Purcell skating this morning is a good indicator he will play tonight. The St. John's, Newfoundland native scored five goals and 12 points over 16 games.
Teddy Purcell draws back in the lineup to play with Vinny Lecavalier. In an attempt to get more drive out of him, coach Guy Boucher made him a healthy scratch last game. With one goal and three points through his first four games, expect him to step it up a notch.
In his first four games this season, Purcell has a goal and two assists. Even though he produced, coach Guy Boucher was incredibly upset with his work ethic in their demoralizing loss to the Islanders. Look for him to re-enter the lineup with extra drive.
The Lightning have agreed to a two-year deal with wing Teddy Purcell, avoiding an arbitration hearing. Terms have yet to be offically disclosed, but it's believed to be $2.35 million in first year, and $2.37 million in 2012-13.
