Greiss allowed two goals on 30 shots in the Islanders’ loss to Nashville on Monday. Despite losing his last two starts, Greiss will make his third straight start tonight in Philadelphia. Greiss has gone 1-0-1 with a 1.95 GAA and .951 SV% in two starts vs. the Flyers this season. He comes in with a 13-10-3 record on the road.
Greiss allowed two goals on 18 shots in the Islanders’ loss to the Bruins on Saturday. Despite the return of Jaroslav Halak, Greiss will start for the second straight game. Greiss has gone 5-5-2 with a 3.20 GAA and .898 SV% in March and tonight he will take on a Predators team that has won six of their last seven.
Greiss allowed three goals on 38 shots in the Islanders’ loss to the Blue Jackets on Saturday. Greiss has struggled recently, losing four of his last five games while allowing a combined 17 goals on 136 shots (.875 SV%). Greiss stopped 25 of 27 shots in a 4-2 win in his first start against the Rangers this season.
Greiss stopped 30 of 32 shots in the Islanders’ win in Carolina on Tuesday. It was a much better outing than Monday’s relief appearance against the Hurricanes. Greiss has gone 12-5-1 with a 2.56 GAA and .914 SV% on home ice, but will face a high-scoring Jets team tonight.
Greiss surrendered three goals on 39 shots in the Islanders’ OT win in Vancouver on Thursday. Greiss has now won two in a row and is 11-9-3 with a 2.65 GAA and .917 SV% on the road this season. He made 24 starts in a 3-2 win in his first start vs. the Blues.
Greiss allowed a single goal on 28 shots in the Islanders; win in Edmonton on Tuesday. Greiss has gone 2-2-1 while allowing a combined 13 goals on 122 shots (.893 SV%) in his last five outings. Tonight he will make his first start against the Canucks—he has gone 10-9-3 with a 2.63 GAA And .917 SV% on the road this season.
Greiss was yanked after allowing four goals on 21 shots in the first period of the Islanders’ loss in Calgary on Sunday. Greiss has lost three of his last four starts (was pulled twice) while posting a 4.36 GAA and .872 SV%. Tonight he gets the nod against the Oilers—who are 16-10-3 on home ice this season.
Greiss was pulled after allowing three goals on 17 shots in the Islanders’ blowout loss in Columbus on Saturday. He ended up going 5-5-0 with a 3.16 GAA And .891 SV% in February—a significantly worse month than January. Greiss posted a 23-save shutout in his only start against the Stars this season.
Greiss stopped all 24 shots that he faced in the Islanders’ 3-0 shutout win in Montreal on Thursday. Greiss has won three of his last four starts while posting a 1.51 GAA, .939 SV% and one shutout. He will look to stay hot this afternoon in Columbus—the 31-year-old stopped 21 of 23 shots in a 4-2 win in his first start against the Blue Jackets.
