Talbot practiced on the fourth line this morning, a good indication he will play tonight. In his first 71 games in Philadelphia, the former Penguin scored 18 goals and 29 points.
INJURY UPDATE #Flyers GM Paul Holmgren announced Talbot is day-to-day with upper-body injury
No word on whether Talbot can play today after getting hurt in a fight yesterday. In his first 71 games in Philadelphia, the former Penguin scored 18 goals and 29 points.
Talbot blocked a slap shot from Winnipeg's Zach Bogosian with about three minutes left in the first period and limped off the ice. He had to be carried down the tunnel to the dressing room. The shot appeared to hit him on the left foot.
Considering Talbot would later return to the game, he likely will be OK. Keep an eye on this injury moving forward as the gritty center could simply be playing through an injury.
With Blair Betts getting claimed by the Montreal Canadiens, the Flyers will move Talbot down to the fourth line. Last season he scored eight goals and 21 points through 82 games with the Pittsburgh Penguins. He should come near those totals while playing a similar role with the Flyers.
