Michalek has been recalled from Tucson (AHL) and will play on Monday.
Michalek has 14 points (6G / 8A) in 43 games with Tucson this season, but earned himself a late-season call-up and will make his season debut on Monday. Michalek, 33, has picked up just 29 points (8G / 21A) over the last three seasons and his physical brand of defence can be made up by a younger blueliner in Arizona. The Coyotes have an abundance of young defensemen and Michalek appears to be on the outside looking in.

Michalek did not travel to Colorado with the team because he is day-to-day with an upper-body injury. After tonight the Coyotes are off until Saturday, so Michalek could be ready to go by then.
