#Flyers GM Paul Holmgren announced that Claude Giroux will NOT play today, due to an upper-body injury
No word on the extent of the injury but take Giroux out of the lineup tonight. He scored 28 goals and 93 points in 77 games.

Apparently no injuries to Voracek or Giroux per Holmgren.
Giroux abruptly left practice leading to speculation that he might be hurt. The superstar center has 22 goals and 68 points in 54 games. Wellwood filling in likely means this absence is maintenance related.

When Giroux left mid-practice, they had Eric Wellwood change jerseys and fill in as C on his line.

Giroux, an ultra-intense competitor, has one goal in his last 10 games.
Despite only scoring a goal over those 10 game he's still produced six points over that span. Continue to start the team's top-line center with confidence.

Giroux is expected to play tonight after missing just over a week of playing time. Remember to activate him in all formats.

Game time decision on Giroux i am told. If he is in warmups then he plays, he said yesterday

Giroux says if he is in warmup he plays. Two players say they expect to see Giroux vs Dallas

Giroux is practicing at full speed and may play against the Stars tomorrow. However, the Flyers are in no rush to get him back into the lineup if it means longer concussion-like symptoms.

Fantastic sign for Giroux, who has been sidelined for over a week with a concussion. The top-line center has been skating and working out without symptoms which can only mean good things.

Paul Holmgren said that Claude Giroux skated today for about 15 minutes and that's when he said he felt sluggish.
Giroux skating was a positive sign but concussion-like symptoms have to be seen as a setback of some kind.

Claude Giroux is out indefinitely after taking a knee from teammate Wayne Simmonds to the back of the head. After the first couple days, Giroux said he was feeling fine, but the Flyers played it cautiously. The result on Tuesday is exactly why.
Expect Sean Couturier to get a crack at the top line with Giroux out. At this point there is no timetable for his return as his symptoms have gotten worse.
