Tough break for Chris Campoli, who was recently signed to play in the team's top-4. Last season he scored four goals and 21 points split between the Ottawa Senators and Chicago Blackhawks. Look for Alexei Emelin to take his spot in the lineup.

If Campoli had suffered a concussion or other injury as a consequence of Ryan Malone’s cheap shot, the likelihood is he would have returned to Montreal.
Campoli was the recipient of a grandiose hit from Ryan Malone last night. Campoli scored four goals and 21 points last season split between the Chicago Blackhawks and Ottawa Senators. He should start the season on the second pairing, playing with Josh Gorges.
