Boychuk missed Saturday’s game in Carolina, but returned Monday in Boston. He’ll come back out of the lineup again tonight as he is day-to-day with an upper-body injury. The veteran defenseman will be replaced by Scott Mayfield.

Boychuk was a late scratch on Saturday with an undisclosed injury, but will be back the lineup this afternoon. Boychuk will replace Scott Mayfield in the lineup and comes in with five goals and nine assists (14 points in 39 games this season.
Boychuk (illness) is expected to return to the Islanders' lineup on Thursday.
Boychuk missed Tuesday’s game with flu-like symptoms, but it looks like he’s back in tonight. Boychuk has scored two goals with an assist in his last three games and has nine points (4G / 5A) in 24 games this season.

Boychuk has been out since December 31st, but was back at practice on Monday and could return on Tuesday. His status remains up in the air for Tuesday’s game. Monitor his status during the morning skate.

Boychuk left Thursday’s game late in the third period and did not return. The Islanders blueliner will miss at least seven days, but as of now there is no timetable for his return. Expect him to be evaluated this weekend and a firm timetable should be released after that.
