"Good to see Dan Girardi practicing with NYR today. I honestly thought it wasn't going to be good news after seeing it live on Saturday."
Girardi is dealing with a bone bruise and was on the ice this morning for the Rangers. He is one-part of New York's top-pair that is currently dealing with injuries. It looks like Girardi and Ryan McDonagh will both be in on Tuesday when the Rangers take on the Jets, but keep an eye on them tomorrow.

X-rays on NYR Dan Girardi (blocked shot) are negative. Good news, although some bone bruises can be as painful/debilitating as a fracture.
There is no further news other than the X-rays are negative at this point, consider Girardi day-to-day for now. Monitor his status as the week progresses.

After missing two games with lower-body injury, NYR's Dan Girardi set to go.
Girardi will be back tonight after missing the last two contests. He is averaging close to 25 minutes a game this season and has 2 assists to go along with a -3 in 8 games. He is a decent fantasy option because of the minutes he plays at even-strength and on the power-play.

Dan Girardi very cautious in what he says after practice, though does say he has had a nagging injury...he is not sure if he can play Sunday.
Girardi took part in Rangers practice today and was playing the point on the Rangers top power-play unit. No guarantee that he will play Sunday, monitor his status going forward.

Girardi will be out of the lineup for the second straight game tonight. He isn't seriously injured so he should return soon.

Girardi played a tough game last night and may be taking a maintenance day. The All-Star d-man has four goals and 21 points in 63 games.

Girardi does not miss a shift.
Just like last season, the shot blocking Girardi does not sit out due to injuries. If you need a reliable defender capable of posting around 30 points, look no further.

Girardi reported the finger he injured in the final playoff game is fine and it did not affect his offseason routine.
Girardi also represents a good deal of the team's defensive success, becoming a second goaltender of sorts. The two-way defender missed only two games last season despite a malady of injuries; we think he'll be OK.

The Rangers announced today that defenseman Dan Girardi had undergone successful surgery to repair an inguinal hernia while right wing Brandon Prust had successful surgery to repair a labral tear in his left shoulder.
